About Naomi Ruth Cohen
There are many ways to describe Naomi – a gifted artist and designer, a wise geriatrics counselor, a cherished friend to many, a caring daughter, sister and relative, and specially, a compassionate, spiritual and engaged participant in her community and world. She cared deeply about the humane treatment of animals and all disadvantaged people. In 1998, when she was 30, Naomi was diagnosed with a particularly virulent form of a terrible, poorly understood illness: bipolar disorder. Two years later she took her own life and left a huge hole in the universe and footprints we are trying to follow.
